Our Mission Statement
EduPreneurship is dedicated to providing children with an education that will enable them to be successful in the complex society of today. Creating a learning environment that is relevant, active, and product oriented to ensure our children stay "turned on" and "tuned in" is essential to the educational process. We believe in practicing the precepts of a democratic society by students holding themselves accountable for their own actions thus preparing them to be good citizens.
| We promise our students: |
To reengage the disengaged
To revitalize the complacent
To stir the imagination
To spark critical thinking
To nurture a love of learning
To develop the citizen within
To dare to risk
To be an entrepreneur |
Our Six Goals
- To actively engage all students in the learning process through activities based on Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences (MI), within a multi-age, non-graded class.
|
- To create integrated thematic units that incorporate core curriculum with exciting, high interest and "real world" application so that children will experience an immersion that demonstrates the connection between skills and content.
|
- To establish a micro community where students participate in simulated "real world" activities that offer students an opportunity to practice their core curriculum, product based activities, civic responsibilities, and citizenship skills as members of their community.
|
- To nurture the "citizen within" every child, provide training and practice in good citizenship, fair play, courtesy, honesty, caring and accountability, fully developing every child's potential.
|
- To encourage students to perform above previous levels of expectations on state essential skills testing and other performance assessments developed by the school.
|
- To deepen parents' understanding of the integral role they play in the success of their child's education and the functioning of the school by providing opportunities for the parents to increase their knowledge of both the school's philosophy and the basis for the chosen methodologies.
